Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to take an opponent down and get a head and arm choke from a standing back control position. Lucas is gripping the opponent’s back while they are both standing. The opponent posts with both hands on the mat. Lucas brings him down by hooking his shin behind the opponent’s knee and pushing him forward. As soon as Lucas drops his knee, he slides his arm over the opponent’s far side shoulder and re-grips his hands together, trapping the opponent’s head and arm. He brings his knee inside under the opponent and hooks his foot on the hip. He places his other leg over the opponent’s back. Lucas then lifts his hips, squeezes and gets the choke.
