Knee Cut Pass Defense with De La Riva to Technical Stand Up to Back Take (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri shows a knee cut pass defense, using the De La Riva. As soon as the opponent steps forward, Lucas reaches for the near side knee with the opposite arm. He then moves into the De La Riva guard gripping the near side ankle with the same side hand. The opponent tries to pass and Lucas lifts him up and bumps him over. He releases the grip on the knee and underhooks the other knee. As he does this, he also slides his same side knee between the opponent’s legs. Lucas turns to the side, loads the opponent’s leg onto his shoulder, and pushes the opponent with his legs to the side. He does a technical stand up, then grips his hands together and pulls the opponent to bring him down. Once the opponent posts, Lucas moves in for the back take.
