Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to prevent the opponent from punching when caught in a headlock. The opponent gets Lucas in a standing headlock and attempts to punch. Lucas immediately defends by using his hands. One hand is used to protect his face, while the other goes around the outside of the waist to grip the arm. He then uses his near side hand to also control the same arm’s wrist. With the arm controlled, Lucas now places his foot in between the opponents and pushes in with his hips. This allows Lucas to escape from the headlock. He now steps back controlling the arm that was around his neck and pushes the opponent away.
