Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to prevent the opponent from punching when caught in a headlock and how to get the rear naked choke. The opponent gets Lucas in a standing headlock and attempts to punch. Lucas immediately defends by using his hands. One hand is used to protect his face, while the other goes around the outside of the waist to grip the arm. He then uses his near side hand to also control the same arm’s wrist. With the arm controlled, Lucas now places his foot in between the opponents and pushes in with his hips. This allows Lucas to escape from the headlock by looking back and to the side. In this variation, when Lucas is behind the opponent, he pushes the back of the knee to make the opponent drop down. He gets his head close to the opponent’s shoulder and slides his arm around the opponent’s neck. The other arm is now crossed behind the head. Lucas now squeezes his arms together and gets the rear naked choke submission.
