Heel Hook Defense from Straight Ankle Lock Transition (Advanced)

August 31, 2018 on 12:35 418 4

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to escape from a heel hook attack when the opponent tries to get a straight ankle lock first, but then transitions to a heel hook instead. As soon as the opponent transitions to the heel hook, Lucas immediately places his free foot under the opponent’s leg. He uses his hand to push down the opponent’s outside leg. The opponent starts turning and Lucas follows keeping his trapped foot bent to prevent the opponent from finishing the heel hook. He also maintains the grip on the opponent’s leg. Once Lucas’ heel is free, he comes on top.
