Kimura Submission From Side Control (Intermediate)

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri explains how to submit an opponent with the Kimura grip from side control regardless of how the opponent defends. Lucas first moves to north-south position while gripping the opponent's belt and keeping his head down to trap the opponent's arm in position to apply the Kimura grip. When he secures the Kimura grip, Lucas can then apply the Kimura submission, the armbar submission, or the step over Kimura submission. For the step over Kimura, Lucas steps over the opponent's body and falls back to the mat. He then extends his body to free the arm and apply the Kimura submission, or else he uses his leg behind the opponent's neck to push and force the opponent to roll. Lucas then finishes by sitting on the opponent in a reverse s-mount and applying the Kimura submission.
