Knee Cut Pass Attempt to Deep Half Guard Escape to Kimura (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to get the Kimura submission after letting the opponent place him in the deep half guard. Lucas goes for a knee cut pass and puts his weight forward. He drops the knee he was using to post so the opponent can reach it and lets his get the deep half guard. Once in the deep half guard, Lucas slides his arm in between his leg and the opponent to block the hip. Lucas then drops his hips to the floor and then passes them over the opponent. The opponent slides his arm thru to try and bump Lucas. Lucas traps the opponent’s arm in the Kimura lock. He then posts with his free leg and pushes himself to the other side. He now uses his free leg to push on the opponent’s leg and frees his own trapped leg. Both legs are now brought down and he scissors them over the opponent’s head trapping the arm. Lucas then releases his legs, comes on top and finishes the Kimura submission.
