Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to defend and escape from the knee cut pass when the opponent is deep in the pass. The opponent is already cutting the knee and is about to pass. Lucas immediately uses his outside leg to hook the opponent’s knee cut foot. He now uses his inside hand to block the opponent’s knee. He reaches over the arm with his outside leg and grips the opponents pants near the foot. Lucas now unlocks his feet and bridges up to escape turning the opponent over while still maintaining the grip on the pants. In this scenario the opponent stands up, so Lucas immediately goes for the single leg take down.
