Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to pass the opponent’s guard using the knee cut pass. In this scenario, the opponent has the reverse de la riva and uses the knee shield in an attempt to stop Lucas’ knee cut. Lucas places the reverse de la riva side hand in between the opponent’s arm and thigh. The other hand is placed on the opponent’s side. Lucas starts to slowly move to the middle, pushing the opponent’s knee open with his own. As soon as the opponent loses the knee shield, Lucas immediately cuts his knee again to pass. Depending on the opponent's reaction, Lucas can go to the side control or mount position.
