Knee Cut to Back Take (Intermediate)

January 13, 2018 on 12:00 874 16

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri discusses how to take the back when an opponent defends against his knee cut pass using a knee shield and reverse De La Riva guard. In this situation, Lucas pushes the opponent's ankle down, points his knee outward, and drives the opponent's foot to the mat before circling to pass the guard. He grips around the opponent's head and arm and then frees his own head from under the opponent's arm. When the opponent turns away to try to escape, Lucas switches his hips and drags him back with the seatbelt grip. As the opponent turns away once more, Lucas enters his bottom hook, pulls the opponent back, and enters his top hook to complete the back take.
