Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape from the lasso when the opponent is not wearing the belt. The opponent has the de la riva and is able to also get the lasso. In this scenario, Lucas does not grip the belt. The de la riva leg is now pushed down with the other hand. Lucas now points his foot out and drops his knee over the shin. He steps back with his other leg and keeps his distance by stepping to the side. In this variation, the opponent attempts to spin underneath Lucas to transition to an attack. Lucas immediately releases pressure and then uses his knee to trap the opponent’s leg. He now grips the pants and rolls over the opponent to take the back control.
