Lasso with Spider Guard to Side Control Escape Variation to Lasso Sweep to Side Control (Intermediate)

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to sweep the opponent, after recomposing the guard when the opponent passes to side control. Lucas starts with the lasso and spider. The opponent starts to pass and Lucas immediately reaches for the collar. The opponent is able to pass to the side control while Lucas still has the lasso control. Lucas pushes the opponent away so they can react. In this variation, the opponent starts to stand back up. Lucas takes advantage of this and spins underneath reaching for the near side leg. He elevates his hips, rocks forward and uses the under hook on the leg and the lasso to sweep the opponent forward. From here, he gets to the side control position.
