Professor Lucas Lepri shows a series of transitions that start with a mount escape. From there, Lucas transitions to the half guard and defends a knee cut pass by going to the deep half guard. The opponent has Lucas in the mount position and Lucas starts escaping by placing his elbow on the mat and his other arm across the opponent. He starts to turn to the side and bumps the opponent up so he can hook one of the legs and transitions to the half guard. The opponent now reacts by trying to knee cut pass. Lucas under hooks the opponent's leg to block him from doing the knee cut pass and transitions to the deep half guard. From the deep half guard, Lucas reaches under the opponent’s leg and grips his own shin trapping the the leg. Lucas swing his free leg towards the opponent to create space and uses his hand to push the opponent away. He now rocks back and releases the grip on his shin and transitions to the X Guard. Lucas then pushes the opponent away and stands up with a technical stand up. From there, Lucas can stay on top or transition to the side control by securing the waist and pushing the opponent down.
