Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to sweep the opponent using the omoplata on the lapel, when the opponent takes the arm out. Lucas starts in the closed guard and pulls the lapel out. He under hooks the opponent’s leg and feeds the lapel to that hand. Lucas starts to go for the omoplata while still controlling the lapel. In this scenario, the opponent slides his arm out. Lucas continues to go for the omoplata on the lapel instead. Lucas pushes with his legs and sweeps the opponent. He then transitions to the side control.
