Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape from the one leg x and shows how to get to the side control or mount position. The opponent has the one leg x and is controlling the ankle and also has a grip on the other leg. Lucas maintains his base and grips the collar and sleeve. He pulls the sleeve up to break the grip and then pins the arm to the ground. The opponent attempts to lift Lucas, but Lucas defends by sliding both his legs back. He then brings one knee in. Lucas shifts his hips to release the opponent's hook on the leg and get to the side control. If the opponent maintains the hook on Lucas’ leg, Lucas goes for the mount position instead.
