Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape from the one leg x and shows a variation on taking the back. Lucas starts to defend by gripping the bottom leg and places his other hand on the foot. He pushes down on both and turns his knee in. The hand that was on the foot is now placed on the mat near the opponent’s head. Lucas now back steps as he pushes the leg down allowing him to be on the side. The opponent tries to turn in and Lucas uses his leg to trap the opponent’s leg. The hand that was gripping the leg is now used to grip the back of the pants and the other hand now grips the back of the neck. In this variation, the opponent once again tries to come up and posts with his elbow on the mat. Instead of diving over the opponent, Lucas now posts with his hand on the mat and spins around to take the back.
