Open Guard Ankle Pick Sweep (Intermediate)

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches the ankle pick sweep from open guard. Starting with a grip on the lapel, Lucas uses his free hand to post as his opponent circles with grips on Lucas' pant legs and tries to pass his guard. When the opponent lets go of one leg to try to put Lucas on his back, Lucas sits up over his own ankle while pushing the lapel and grabbing the opponent's ankle to stand. From the standing position Lucas either circles or blocks the opponent's foot to bring him to the mat and finish the sweep.
