Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows a series of transitions that start with him trying to get an Omoplata submission and finishing taking the opponent’s back instead. Lucas starts by playing the open guard and grips the opponent’s cross sleeve and under hooks the near side leg with his other arm. Lucas then raises his hips and tries to go for the Omoplata submission, but the opponent blocks him with his elbow. Lucas abandons the Omoplata attempt and immediately slides his knee into the near side opponent’s leg. He then brings his other leg around and over the opponent’s same leg and places his calf on the back of the opponent’s knee, making him bend his leg. Lucas then reaches for the pants and cups the opponent’s hips. He uses the hand that was holding the pants to post on the mat so he can step back to come on top of the opponent and seat belt grip the waist. The opponent then tries to defend by rolling rolling forward and Lucas rolls with him. He lands with the opponent on top of him and then pulls him down to establish the hooks and takes the back position.
