Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get the armbar submission after attempting a kimura, when he sees that the opponent is going for the over under pass. Lucas is playing guard and the opponent grips Lucas’ leg so he can go under the other leg for the over under pass. Before the opponent is able to go for the pass, Lucas immediately goes for the kimura grip on the arm that was placed on his leg. In this scenario, Lucas tries to finish the kimura but the opponent defends by gripping his own belt. Lucas brings his outside leg over so he can push on the hip. In this scenario, the opponent tries defending by posturing up and applies pressure onto Lucas. Lucas slides his foot across the opponent and raises his hips so he can spin the opponent over. Lucas then finishes the armbar from this position.
