Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a rolling back take when his opponent is in reverse De La Riva guard. First, Lucas establishes a same-side collar grip. The opponent applies a knee shield and Lucas grips the knee and pushes it down. If the opponent tries to apply an under hook, Lucas uses his head to put his opponent’s shoulders on the mat. If the opponent is still able to scissor into turtle position, Lucas fakes a transition to north south and, maintaining his collar grip, reaches his other hand around his opponent to apply an underhook. He rolls over his shoulder, pulling his opponent with him to finish the back take with both hooks in. Having maintained his collar grip, he can now apply the double lapel choke.
