Professor Lucas Lepri shows a transitional drill where he maintains the side control position as the opponent tries to escape. The opponent tries to escape by bumping up and going for the under hook, as the opponent does this Lucas makes sure to block the opponent’s hips. The opponent then tries to scissor his legs and as he does this Lucas posts with his hand and starts stepping over the opponent. As Lucas steps over, he hooks the opponents knee with his other leg. As the opponent starts to come back to the other side, Lucas uses that hook to help him transition to the other side and keeps blocking the hip with that same leg. Then the opponent goes for the under hook again and Lucas transitions to the other side once again back and forth.
