Professor Lucas Lepri shows a transition staring from the side control position, to the mount position and then to the back take. As Lucas is in the side control, he uses his hips to push on the opponent’s legs to the left. By doing this he isolates the opponent’s right arm and uses his left knee to trap it between his own arm and leg. Once the arm is isolated, Lucas releases his grips and then grips the opponent’s shoulder with his left hand and uses his right hand to post it out above the opponent’s head to the right. Lucas then places his head down next to the opponent’s head and starts sliding his right knee over the opponent. Once his knee touches the mat he circles his foot over the opponent securing the mount position. The opponent then tries to escape by rolling over. Lucas lets him roll over by lifting his knee and secures the first hook. Once the opponent gets on his knees, Lucas then secures the second hook. He then brings one arm over the opponent’s shoulder and the other under the arm grasping them together. The opponent rolls over and Lucas establishes the back take position. Lucas then releases his grips and goes for the rear naked choke submission.
