Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to counter the single leg with a sweep to side control. The opponent grips Lucas’ wrist and goes for the tie up on the neck. Before Lucas is able to also tie up, the opponent shoots for the single leg while maintaining the grip on the wrist to avoid Lucas from going for a kimura lock. Lucas immediately counters the single leg by gripping around the armpit, steps to the side and uses his foot to hook the leg to sweep the opponent over. From here, Lucas goes to the side control position.
