Single Leg Counterattack to Side Control (Intermediate)

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a counterattack to the single leg takedown. Beginning from standing, the opponent is able to pick up Lucas’ leg. Lucas immediately grabs the opponent’s wrist on the arm that is hooking his leg and cups the opponent under the armpit. Lucas hops forward and turns to hook his trapped foot behind the opponent’s knee, sitting and falling to the side to sweep his opponent. From there he transitions to side control.
