Single Leg Fake to De La Riva to Sit Up Variation when Opponent Defends to Takedown (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to get a top position after faking that he’s going for a single leg. Lucas fakes that he is going for a single to make the opponent react so he’ll move his leg back. Lucas immediately jumps guard to the de la riva position. He pulls the opponent in and when the opponent reacts, Lucas sits up and reaches under the leg to control the lapel. In this scenario, the opponent defends by pushing down on Lucas’ leg. Lucas switches his de la riva hooks so he can pull the opponent towards him. Lucas stands up once again and tries to take the opponent down. The opponent defends, so Lucas then takes him down in the other direction. Once he is taken down, he can then work from the top position.
