Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows the single leg takedown when opponent has the same or opposite base. Lucas starts standing and without any grips on the opponent. He uses his back leg to take a step forward and places it next to the opponent’s front leg. If the opponent has the opposite base as Lucas, then he takes the step with his front leg. As he steps in, he makes sure to use his hands to move the opponent’s hands out of the way. Lucas grabs the opponent’s leg with both hands and lifts it up pinching it between his legs. He makes sure to keep his head against the opponent’s torso to avoid getting guillotined. Once he has his leg, he takes a step forward with his inside leg and a step back with his outside leg. As he steps back, he pulls down on the opponent’s leg taking him down. Lucas does not follow the opponent to the ground.
