Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to take the opponent down by using a double leg takedown. Lucas and the opponent are both standing. Lucas steps in and reaches for the opponent’s near side leg. He picks it up and places it between his legs to be in the single leg position. He steps back to have the opponent move and then immediately drops both of his knees to the back. As he drops to his knees, he reaches and hugs the other leg. Lucas now pushes forward and takes the opponent down. As the opponent is taken down, Lucas makes sure to keep the control on the leg. From here, he can then move to the side control position.
