Sit Up Guard to Modified X Guard to Kneebar (Advanced)

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get a kneebar, using a modified x guard. Lucas starts on the mat and the opponent is standing. Lucas works on preventing the opponent from engaging by breaking the grips or pushing and pulling the opponent. When the timing is right, Lucas moves into a sit up guard where he immediately lifts his legs up to make the opponents near side leg slide down where he can trap it under his armpit. He now goes for a modified x guard where he is able to once again lift his legs and have the opponent’s other leg slide down. Lucas now locks a figure four to trap the opponent's legs. From here, Lucas now under hooks the bottom leg and controls the heel. He turns to the side and finishes with the kneebar submission.
