Spider Guard to One Leg X-Guard to X-Guard Sweep and Pass to Side Control (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a series of transitions to sweep and pass an opponent who attempts to leg drag pass Lucas’ spider guard. Beginning with his opponent in his spider guard, when the opponent circles his arm inside on of the spider grips, Lucas releases that sleeve and grips the same-side collar. Shrimping out, Lucas makes space to hook his free foot on the inside of the opponent’s ankle. From there Lucas transitions to one leg x-guard and then to x-guard, where he slides one foot behind the opponent’s ankle to complete the sweep and pass to side control.
