Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get a collar choke after defending the opponent’s attempt to sweep him. The opponent starts in the spider guard and then releases one sleeve so he can grip the lapel. He then pulls Lucas to unbalance so he can sweep or transition to a submission. Lucas immediately reacts by posting on the mat with his hand and walks to the side pulling the opponent’s leg down. The opponent is able to recompose and face Lucas. He once again tries to sweep Lucas, but this time, Lucas prevents it by placing his foot on the hips. Lucas then goes to the knee on belly and grips the collar. The opponent now tries to come up and Lucas steps over and falls on his side. While still controlling the collar, Lucas now crosses his feet together and gets the collar choke.
