Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to defend a straight ankle lock attack when the opponent has him in the one leg X. The opponent has Lucas in his one leg x and decides to attack Lucas with the straight ankle lock. As soon as Lucas hits the mat, he immediately reaches for the opponent’s knee and opens it. Once he opens the knee and releases the pressure he makes sure his ankle it stretched and straight. The other leg is now tucked underneath so Lucas can easily stand up. Once Lucas stands up, he is once again in the opponent’s one leg X. He then pushes the foot down and cuts his knee to the other side. With all his weight sitting on his own heel over the opponent, Lucas then steps back over the opponent and gets to the side control.
