Professor Lucas Lepri explains two guillotine options for counterattacking an opponent who shoots for a double leg takedown. Lucas first demonstrates a standing guillotine submission when he is able to prevent the opponent from gripping the backs of his legs. He stops the opponent using his hands on the opponent’s shoulders, then establishes the guillotine grip and completes the submission by bringing his hips toward the opponent and standing up. Lucas then explains how to get the guillotine from the closed guard when he is unable to prevent the opponent from establishing grips on the backs of his legs.
