Professor Lucas Lepri teaches a drill to practice the toreada pass when the opponent defends by framing. With one hand gripping near the hip and the other gripping the knee, Lucas circles to the side of the knee grip. When the opponent defends by framing, Lucas traps the opponent's bottom leg with his shin to slow the opponent down. Lucas then lifts his hips and circles all the way around the opponent's head while posting with his grip on the knee. He finishes the pass into side control by wrapping his free arm behind the opponent's head. Lucas then continues the drill by repeating the same sequence on the opposite side.
