Triangle Choke from Closed Guard (Fundamentals)

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows a setup for the triangle choke from closed guard. Beginning with grips on the sleeve and lapel of his opponent, Lucas shifts his hips to the side and uses his knee to break the grip on his lapel. Lucas then lifts his hips and locks his legs at the ankles, squeezes his legs and lifts his hips again to cross the opponent's arm, and brings the opponent down holding his head with both hands. With the opponent controlled, Lucas then uses one hand to pull his own shin and fully lock the triangle. He finishes the submission with one arm hugging around his knee and the other holding his shin, squeezing his knees together and flexing his ankles to apply the choke.
