Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape from the triangle choke by leaning on the knee. The opponent locks their legs together over Lucas and then locks the legs in a figure four to get the triangle choke. In this scenario, Lucas isn’t able to prevent the opponent from locking the triangle in. Lucas starts to escape by gripping the opponent’s knee with both hands. He pulls the knee down as he leans on it with all his weight making sure he places the knee on the mat. With the knee now on the mat, Lucas keeps applying pressure. He now starts to turn away until the opponent releases the triangle and then is able to escape.
