Z Guard to Half Guard Sweep Attempt to Back Take when Opponent Defends (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to take the opponent's back after attempting to sweep from the half guard and the opponent defends. Lucas is playing the Z guard and the opponent starts to pass his guard. The opponent is now in Lucas’ half guard and switches the base on Lucas. Lucas immediately comes up on his elbow and reaches for the belt over the opponent. He bridges and tries to sweep the opponent, but the opponent steps back and grips Lucas’ bottom leg preventing the sweep. Lucas instead falls on his shoulder and brings his other leg over the opponent to the other side. In this scenario, when Lucas goes to the other side the opponent starts getting him in the reverse half guard. Lucas immediately jumps back over and starts taking the opponent’s back.
