Professor Lucas Lepri teaches a variation of a butterfly sweep. The opponent has both knees on the mat and Lucas keeps his foot on the hips to maintain distance. The opponent moves in and grips the back of Lucas’ neck. Lucas removes the arm by controlling the wrist and the elbow. He pushes the elbow into the opponent and grips the back of the neck with his other hand. The foot that is on the side of the neck control is used to hook the opponent's leg. The other foot is placed on the mat and bent to the side. Lucas, in one motion uses the hook on the leg to lift the opponent as he pulls him to the side with the neck control. This sweeps the opponent over and Lucas is able to stay on top.
