Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to sweep the opponent from the closed guard. Lucas starts with the opponent in his closed guard and grips one arm with both hands. Lucas lifts the arm to break the grip. One grip stays near the wrist and the other is used to grip near the armpit. Lucas now bridges his hips up and as soon as he brings them down, he pushes the arm across to prevent the opponent from regaining a grip. Lucas now looks for a way to under hook the opponent’s near side leg. Once he under hooks, he is able to open his guard so he can pendulum his legs and scissors them to sweep the opponent over. From here, Lucas immediately goes for the mount position.
