Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to pass the guard using the knee cut pass. Lucas starts standing and the opponent has their feet on Lucas’ hips. Lucas reaches for the pants and grips both legs on the inside. He steps back and creates space. Lucas picks a side and starts to walk around. Whichever side he picks, he steps to that side and pushes that side knee down. He now slides his knee in and places it over the opponent’s leg while posting out with his other leg. As he moves in, he under hooks the opponent’s top side arm. The opponent reacts by framing on Lucas’ shoulder. Lucas releases the grip on the knee and uses that hand to pull the opponent’s arm up and out of the way. From here, Lucas slides his knee thru and keeps his hips next to the opponent. He slides his leg back and finishes on the side control position.
