Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get to the back control, after flipping the opponent over attempting to pass. The opponent is playing the open guard and Lucas controls the legs to avoid the opponent from establishing a good position. When the time is right, Lucas pushes both legs forward making the opponent put their back on the mat. He keeps the control on one side and releases the other leg so he can go under and grip the bottom of the opponent’s pants near the waist. Lucas uses the grip near the bottom of the pants to pull the opponent up and flips him over. He immediately moves to the back while the opponent stays in the turtle position. The opponent now attempts to roll forward and Lucas follows landing on the side control position. The opponent once again attempts to escape by rolling away and Lucas takes that opportunity to slide his hooks in and takes the back control.
