Professor Lucas Lepri shows a transition to an armbar from an Americana set-up when the opponent defends. Lucas starts in the mount position and tries to get the Americana on the opponent. Once Lucas locks the Americana the opponent tries to resist, or defends by reaching over and trying to pull his own arm to the other side. Lucas lets the opponent pull his arm so Lucas can then go for the armbar. As the opponent pulls his own arm, Lucas brings his left leg up underneath the opponent's arm and also brings his other knee up and puts it against the opponent’s back, establishing the S-Mount. He then passes his leg over the opponent, keeps hold of the arm, and leans back to get the armbar.
