Professor Lucas Lepri explains how to establish and sweep from the De La Riva and lasso guard position. Beginning from De La Riva guard, Lucas first breaks the grip and pushes the leg of his opponent to establish the lasso. He then pushes the opponent’s knee with his foot and uses his De La Riva hook to elevate the opponent's hips while maintaining his grip on the opponent's sleeve, causing the opponent to fall to the mat. Lucas keeps the opponent down by maintaining the sleeve grip, and then finishes by circling his foot inside and pushing the opponent's leg away as he posts and elevates himself to establish the knee on belly position.
