Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to get to a top position on the opponent using the Berimbolo. Lucas starts with the De La Riva and pushes the opponent to unbalance him. When the opponent posts on the mat, Lucas then pushes him in the other direction. Lucas now releases the grip on the collar and grips the back of the opponent’s pants so he can get inverted for the Berimbolo. In this scenario, Lucas switches the hooks on the legs and tries to take the back. The opponent reacts by placing his back on the mat. Lucas instead, switches his hook one more time and reaches for the far side leg. He now pushes the opponent’s leg back towards the opponent’s shoulder with the leg drag.
