Lucas begins with his opponent in the De La Riva and same-side spider grips on the opponent’s sleeve and pants of the trapped leg. When the opponent attempts to push Lucas’ hook down, Lucas takes his other foot off the inside thigh and locks his feet behind the opponent’s trapped leg. Lucas pinches his knees together and pulls the opponent in to his chest before lifting his legs to bump his opponent over his head, keeping the trapped arm down between the opponent’s legs. Once the opponent posts with his free arm, Lucas releases the sleeve grip and reestablishes a grip on the outside of the opponent’s triceps, pushing the opponent’s upper body across his own as he transitions to the X-Guard, lifting the opponent’s trapped leg to trap it over his shoulder. Lucas uses his legs to push the opponent away from him and stands up. In this situation, the opponent bases both his hands on the mat and remains facing down. Lucas quickly drops the leg and reaches one arm across the opponent’s belly to establish a collar grip, then uses the other arm to reach around and block the inside of the opponent’s thigh. Lucas then replaces the hand blocking the inner thigh with his knee and steps his other foot over the opponent’s leg to trap the ankle. Now Lucas uses his free hand to establish the seatbelt grip and pulls the opponent with him as he falls to his side. He inserts the bottom hook first, adjusts his position, and then inserts his top hook to complete the back take.
