Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows a deep De La Riva sweep while holding the sleeve to side control. Lucas starts in the De La Riva position with one grip on the pants and the other on the sleeve. He uses the foot on the opponent’s hip to raise his own hips and slides his left foot underneath the opponent’s leg to reach the opponent’s left hip. As he slides the foot to the hip, he makes the opponent step back. Lucas then releases the grip on the sleeve and reaches for the opponent’s pants or belt. He uses his left hand to grip on the opponent’s left leg and slides his right shin in behind the opponent’s right leg. Lucas then loads the opponent onto to himself using his grips to pull the opponent and his leg to push. As the opponent is falling to Lucas’ side, he switches his leg hooks. He then establishes the side control position.
