Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get the triangle submission, after attempting to sweep the opponent when in the double under. The opponent has the double under and Lucas immediately grips the back on both sides to prevent the opponent from posturing up. When the time is right, Lucas now reaches for the belt. He uses the same side leg to post on the mat so he can turn enough to post his outside elbow on the mat. The bottom leg is now used to trap the opponent’s leg as Lucas lifts his hips up in an attempt to sweep. In this scenario, the opponent defends the sweep by pulling Lucas’ hips back to the mat. Lucas immediately takes advantage of this reaction and locks his feet together over the opponent’s shoulder. From here, Lucas then locks the triangle choke.
