Half Spider Guard Sweep (Fundamentals)

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to sweep the opponent using the half spider guard. After preventing the opponent from passing with the lapel control, Lucas now transitions to the half spider guard. The opponent starts to pass by pushing the other leg down and places his foot next to Lucas’ torso while also gripping the collar. Lucas now reaches for the opponent’s far side leg and grips it. He now pulls on the sleeve as he raises the leg to sweep the opponent to the side.
