Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to get the kimura submission starting from the half guard and then the opponent tries to defend by rolling forward. The opponent starts trying to pass Lucas’ guard and Lucas prevents it by immediately trapping the opponent’s leg and getting him in the half guard position. Lucas controls the opponent’s arm by gripping the wrist. He then sits up and brings his other arm over the opponent’s arm so he can grip his own wrist securing the kimura grip. Lucas then places his back on the mat and raises the opponent’s arm over their own back. In this scenario, the opponent rolls forward to defend the kimura. Lucas follows and lands on the side control position without releasing the kimura lock. From there, Lucas lifts the opponent’s arm making the opponent turn towards Lucas making the opponent be on his side. Lucas brings his leg over the opponent’s head and finishes the kimura submission from there.
