Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to pass the guard using the knee cut pass and gets to the side control. Lucas starts by gripping the inside of the opponent’s pants around the knees. He then steps forward with one foot and grips the same side collar. The same foot that he stepped forward with is now used to place his knee on the opposite side of the opponent's leg. Lucas starts to slide his leg through the opponent's leg and post out with his other leg. He slides his knee all the way through and reaches for the opponent’s bicep and places his other elbow on the mat. From here, Lucas goes to the side control position.
