Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to take the opponent’s back, after trying to sweep using the Lasso. Lucas starts in the open guard and then gets the spider guard. He breaks the grips and uses the foot opposite to the lasso grip to push the opponent away on the hip. Lucas then brings the same foot across and slides it in between the opponent’s arm and the Lasso grip. He spins under the opponent and grips the outside of the leg. He raises his hips and rocks forward to use his momentum to sweep the opponent forward. In this scenario, the opponent defends by posting on the mat and tries to face Lucas. Lucas slides both of his knees behind the opponent’s legs. He switches one of his grips to the back of the pants and pushes with his legs as he pulls with his hand to take the back.
